The Central Committee on Environment, Health and Safety holds an annual meeting to determine Companywide action plans and communicate them to managers responsible for environmental management activities at branch administrative departments that oversee subbranches where environmental activities take place. There were 17 such departments and 299 subbranches as of March 2003. The Company periodically convenes the Central Meeting on the Promotion of Environmental Management to develop specific activities, details of which are subsequently distributed to employees responsible for the promotion of environmental activities, ensuring environment-related communications with each region.
