Participation in NEC Make a Difference Day

For the NEC Group’s fiscal 2002 NEC Make a Difference Day, NEC Fielding won an award for the superior results of its vigorous activities undertaken in the spirit of the day.

Taking as the focus environmental beautification of local areas, we engaged in activities during months dedicated to environmental enhancement (June and November), participating in community service activities in the local communities of our nationwide business sites.

Furthermore, the entire Company, from the president down, demonstrated a high level of enthusiasm for worthy causes with a high number of participants in guide dog training donations and collection activities.

Collection initiatives were especially successful, resulting in the collection of 10kg of used stamps worth ¥110,000 in cash vouchers, far surpassing the efforts of other companies.
Received an award from NEC Social Contributions Department in May 2002

Challenge to Give Citizens Safe Footing at the Fukushima Subbranch (Tohoku Branch)

At service areas in regions where snow accumulates in the winter months, all employees work before closing, shoveling snow to make sure that customers will be able to return home safely as part of our challenge to give citizens safe footing. In fiscal 2002, a year in which it snowed more heavily than usual, there were sometimes four to five employees outside offices shoveling snow.

Employees braved inclement weather and sometimes worked in soaked clothing in their quest to secure safe roads and sidewalks for members of their communities.

In addition to continuing to engage in snow removal on the roads and sidewalks around offices, during times of no snow, we will continue to support efforts to help local citizens with such activities as removing weeds from sidewalks.
