Environmental Volunteer Activities

In fiscal 2002, NEC Fielding’s president established a community service policy as well as an accompanying logo. Under a new promotion system, we advanced Companywide community service activities, including collection of guide dog training donations for the Kanagawa Training Center of the Japan Guide Dog Association as well as the collection of stamps, foreign coins, spoiled postcards, and used telephone cards.

In addition, community service activities have been expanded nationwide through workplaces, groups, and individuals, bringing together 2,452 employees in 76 regions nationwide.

Community Service Activities

Community Service Activities by Type/Environment-related Volunteering

As shown in the graph, 86% of all community service activities in fiscal 2002 were environment-related, focusing primarily on cleanup activities in communities surrounding business sites, contributing to employee enlightenment toward improving community service activities.

Only a select portion of our activities is introduced by the above graphs.

In the future, we plan to enhance Companywide activities in the cooperation with members of communities and employees, further widening the breadth of our community service activities
