Responding to Feedback

In order to respond to feedback from our customers and members of the communities in which NEC Fielding does business, we collect our opinions and requests at our service sites. The Environmental Promotion department, with the aid of nationwide managers responsible for environmental management and the Central Meeting on the Promotion of Environmental Management, respond to items related to Companywide environmental issues and decide on an appropriate response.

In fiscal 2002, we reviewed 26 suggestions, making the necessary adjustments to three items on the day we solved them. There were no environment-related complaints.
Environmental Communication

Reference: Amount of feedback received by fiscal year
In eight instances, NEC Fielding provided MSDSs for its products, and for nine items, we responded to requests for surveys and their answers. The “Other” category included three cases of providing information about ISO 14001 certification, two cases of providing environmental reports, three cases of requests regarding automobile regulations, and one case of industrial waste treatment. Looking ahead, we plan to increase the number of surveys about the level of environmental management and green procurement.

Creation of NEC Fielding’s 9th Environmental Poster and Environment Months

From fiscal 2001, we have solicited entries for our environmental slogan over the intranet to create a slogan that is ever-present in environmental activities, playing a key role in employee’s enlightenment activities. Entries have increased significantly in recent years. In addition, as in previous years, we have received a number of entries for environmental posters created by the employees’ families during the summer holidays.

In months dedicated to environmental enhancement, called Environment Months, awards were given to two regional business sites—the Harima Training Center and the Himeji subbranch—that have undertaken exceptional environmental activities.

Slogan and Poster Entries
Note: Due to the fact that we used an image that was published in the Dempa Shimbun upon our ISO 14001 certification, poster entries were not solicited in fiscal 1999.
