We ran a satoyama (rural forest) environment conservation project in the city of Akiruno, in collaboration with Minato Ward, Tokyo. We also achieved successes from our independent collaborative programs, such as making personal chopsticks from cypress scraps produced in the city of Owase. We also implemented a number of initiatives to contribute to local communities, including world heritage sites, the Maebashi Marathon, and the Yokohama City Walk.
We encouraged individual employees to take volunteer leave, showcasing the activities of employees who have taken this leave in our company newsletter. |

- As a member of the NEC Group, we shall coordinate these activities with those of NEC.
- As a member of the 1% (One-Percent) Club of the Nippon Keidanren (Japan Business Federation), we shall direct at least one percent of our ordinary profit to social contribution activities.

We are operate a number of company-wide social-contribution programs, including collecting donations for training seeing-eye dogs, collection activities, and sign-language training, as well as voluntary programs at the site level. Site-level voluntary programs are implemented independently at the site level, aimed at contributing to society in accordance with our five key concepts.
We also encourage NEC Fielding employees to become involved in their local communities through individual volunteering, and we actively participate in the Make-a-Difference Drive (MDD) unified social-contribution program of the NEC Group. |

| The NEC Make-a-Difference Drive (MDD) is a volunteer program participated in by NEC employees worldwide. NEC runs the Make-a-Difference Drive to make contributions to local communities around the world, as part of its social-contribution activities aimed at helping to create a prosperous society.
