We launched CSR activities upon instituting the Corporate Social Responsibility Committee in May 2003 and formulating CSR activity policy in December of that year. To reinforce our setup for CSR activity promotion, the Committee was superseded by the Corporate Social Responsibility Promotion Division in April 2005. This made it possible for us to lead all departments in the company with management integrating CSR elements, and to construct a setup for systematic and ongoing fulfillment of our corporate mission.
In April 2006, the Business Auditing Division was integrated to create a stronger CSR and Internal Auditing Division. |

We think that all corporate activities should fall under CSR activities.
We recognizes that companies should evolve from an "ordinary company" that fulfills its basic responsibilities (economic responsibilities) to a "profitable company" that pays high compensation and dividends (economic duty) by increasing profitability through adherence to relevant laws and regulations (compliance responsibilities) and healthy business activities. Continuing on, the company should advance to a company that is "honest and easy to work for" (ethical duty) that conducts fair, honest and environment-conscious business, and finally should reach the stage of a "superior and praiseworthy company" that contributes to society in business activities in order to create a better society (social contribution duty).
