| Themes of Activities in Fiscal 2007 |
We are committed to maintaining and retaining employees through continuous hiring; enhancing our activities to hire experienced employees; creating a corporate culture that enables the further advancement of women; and maintaining and improving our ratio of employees with disabilities. |
| Results of Activities in Fiscal 2007 |
- We increased the number of new-graduate and experienced hires, and conducted hiring activities even more actively than in the past.
- We continued to maintain our ratio of employees with disabilities in the 1.9% range. We also enhanced our scheme for supporting in-house training after hiring (we assigned a sign-language instructor for training persons with hearing disabilities).
- We increased the number of women assigned to managerial positions (senior staff and manager or above).
| Future Challenges |
We will focus on practical initiatives relating to the hiring and roles of women, and enhancing initiatives to retain employees with disabilities after hire and increase mutual understanding at the workplace. |

| Creating a corporate culture that women can actively take part in |
| We compare poorly to other industries and corporations in terms of female employment and female managers. In order to improve the situation, we are aggressively taking steps to expand the areas women are active in, and these efforts include setting targets for the percentage of women among new graduate recruits and calling for each department to promote women to management posts. |

| I passed the FY2005 examination for management and was given a management post in fiscal 2006. As of the end of 2007, there are only six female managers in the company. I want to become a good example for many of my junior coworkers. |

| Employment of people with disabilities |
| Utilizing our network of more than 400 offices throughout Japan, we employ people with disabilities who want to work in their local community. From the perspective of normalization, we strive to have employees with disabilities work at the same location as other employees, and when necessary, the company or surrounding people provide support. |

I was put in charge of logistics service operations six years after coming to work at NEC Fielding.
Although I have a hearing disability, I perform all the duties of abled employees with the exception of answering the telephone. I am able to communicate smoothly with my coworkers, using a combination of email and having them speak to me slowly.
I am gradually being given more responsibilities at work, and this motivates me. The great work environment at NEC Fielding is one of the big attractions of working here. |
