| Stakeholders |

Stakeholders are the interested parties in a company. Traditionally stakeholders were mainly considered to be shareholders and customers, but as the concept of CSR has permeated (the business world), the idea has spread that the word stakeholders should emphasize all people who might be affected by a corporationfs business activities. Therefore, business partners such as vendors, the local community, NPO (non-profit organizations), employees, and the future generations are also included.
From a CSR perspective, we work to be accountable to all stakeholders and aim for synergetic development with society. |

Accountability is the responsibility to explain ones actions. Corporations have a responsibility to explain their business content to all stakeholders.

| Corporate governance is the mechanism to monitor a corporationfs management. In particular, managers have a responsibility to maximize profits for shareholders. Corporate governance includes determining if this responsibility is being met, assigning targets to management, evaluating performance, and monitoring management so that they generate profits for shareholders. |

| Internal controls generally refer to the management, monitoring, and guarantee of processes through standardization and documentation of these process, which takes place within corporation. The goal of internal controls is to monitor illegal behavior and support the healthy operation of the organization |

| SOX Act |
 |
| The SOX Act refers to the Sarbanes-Oxley Act and is a U.S. corporate reform law that was enacted in July 2002 in response to the Enron and WorldCom financial scandals. The goal of the law is to establish internal controls, to perform audits by independent parties, to monitor auditing firms themselves, to have appropriate disclosure, and to eliminate self-interested and inappropriate business and operations. |

| Japanese-version of the SOX Act (SOX Law) |
 |
A law similar to the SOX Act was introduced in Japan, and this law is commonly referred to as the J-SOX Act. In particular, this refers to part of the Financial Instruments and Transaction Law, which is a fundamental revision of the Securities and Exchange Law. Article 24, section 4, paragraph 4 of the law stipulates the following: Of companies that are required to submit a securities report, companies that issued securities listed on financial instrument exchanges and other organizations stipulated by government ordinances must submit each fiscal year to the prime minister, in addition to the securities report, an internal control report that provides an evaluation of the system necessary to ensure the correctness of information include in documents such as those related to financial statements of the company and the corporate group the company belongs to. In addition, the internal control report must be certified by a public accountant or an accounting firm.
The law will be applicable to listed companies and consolidated subsidiaries starting with the fiscal year ending March 2009. |
