This is the second report since upgrading the Environmental Management Report to a CSR Report.
For the first report, there was a strong sense that we wasted time in difficulty for definite idea. But for the second one, in terms of in-house editing, we made some progress, which is of course our own evaluation of the situation. However, we earnestly respond to the objective opinions and comments of those who read the report, particular Ms. Takako Takano who provided a third-party review.
We once again received a broad evaluation by Ms. Takano, who provided praise, which we did not deserve, and guidance on how to make future improvements. This has spurred us on to make further improvements, and the whole staff has made a fresh determination.
At any rate, as technological innovation continues to expand and society becomes more complex, we have entered a period when there cannot be safety or peace of mind in the overall society unless corporations and all organizations and bodies recognize their social responsibilities and properly communicate information on their own activities and behavior from an impartial position. In addition, we must improve and strengthen our CSR activities and are aiming to create a CSR report that clearly reports on our efforts in an easy to understand manner.
We would be happy to receive your opinions and ideas regarding this report. |
